bought it today.. started playing before..
fuck, this is going to be harder. hard to explain but its not like the previous games with a birds eye view of snake and using 1st person to see certain shit; it's all from behind and over the shoulder now... i've died 5 times and done fuck all. controls are a bit different here and there but still like the originals. very good gameplay though. GFX and the environment is just unreal. octocamo is bombed and shit.

it goes without saying. the harder it is, the better the game is. it's like the first time i played Snake Eater; i was all "whoa!" and "HEY!" and "fuck's sake!!"

started again, skipped the "intro" as fast as i could.
starting to get the hang of it now :cool: shit gets easier once you get the eyepatch.

it's your radar+NV goggles+binoculars all in one. runs on rechargable battery (like in snake eater). nothing new really; just convenient for space+wasting time to look for NV goggles.
how does it fair against snake eater so far?

yep, it INSTANTLY became a Golden Hit in video game history, maybe not in markets but for us gamers it has become something like biblically or mythological master piece. Like a touch down at the last second going for the win.
Chuck Norris aint shit compared to MGS4 nuff said.

dont joke, mgs4 is more than just a video game. Its an interactive experience that you become immersed in. it keeps you engaged more than alot of movies and their are scenes that make you laugh, cry, and rejoice.

I am not joking. I am addicted to Lego Indy and it's absolutely adorable. But I don't know anyone who bought it on the DS so I'm alone in my peer group. I can't believe that I have to wait six months for Batman.
If I had a PS3 I'd buy MGS4. I keep looking at PS3s but it's a lot of money and I'm afraid that if I buy a bluray player I'll start purchasing movies and I want to save money.

I can understand not buying a PS3 the price is a little ridiculous, but just make sure you play this game somehow, someday.

nah, what i love about this game is the mission briefing bits; rolling around in Mk. II whilst the briefing is going on. just awesome. i'm taking my time with this... i'm upto raving rage now.

I am now playing as Santa. And Santa can kick some ass when he swings his large candy cane. Santa is taking the Nazis out.
so...there's no chance this game is ever coming out for the 360, is there? because i really really want it, but i really really don't want to buy a PS3

Holy fucking ass I am almost tempted to buy a PS3 for this game. Have any of you guys played the online bit yet? Seems like they did it right this time and they made sure the knife owns. I haven't gotten to far story wise to make a final judgment but I was stoked going through the first 3 hours.
Also, keep an eye on the live action cut scenes. Tons and tons of imagery there.

I was seeing some videos on youtube. Man, this game's absolutely great. Sometimes you don't know if you're seeing cutscenes or gameplay.
Anybody saw the video after the credits? Or the final battle?

when you land on outer haven, it's kinda impossible to not kill someone. i wasted so many cunts there.
yeah finished the game a couple of days ago. very good. the end was too questionable though and dragged out but that's Japan for ya.
buy a ps3 JUST for this game. it's worth it.

I think I beat it the first time without killing anyone on outer haven, except for in the room where you fight Mantis. There were too many people there for me to bother using the tranq gun.V Rings, Stun Projectile Gernades and Mossin Naugant can be your friend.
Oh yeah, I'm not sure but it seems that my result of sparing all four of the BB's lives seems to also give me asset rounds with the same expressions each BB expressed; use Cry, he'll run, hid and scream like a frighten child; Rage will make him go beserk and star killing everyone; Laughting makes him think that shooting his gun, war, and nothing is all hysterical, and Scream make him drop his gun and run around like a wild animal screaming like he has fire ants stuck in his pants.
