Hi everybody!
I'm going to New York this Tuesday for about 12 days. It will be my firts trip to the US
Do some of you guys could recommend me some cool shops (mainly vinyl and clothes ones)..?
I'm also open to any good advices of things to do in this city!
(I went to Tokyo/Kyoto last year, it's gonna be a big challenge for New York to impress me as much as those crazy Japanese cities!:D But i'm sure it's gonna be an insane trip!)

I don't know specifics but the neighborhoods I liked the best (I've only been once) were also funky and probably likely to have what you're looking for
Greenwich Village/Washington Square Park
Lower East side
maybe upper west/central park west?

what exactly is it that you're looking for?
lower east side, soho, the village i would say would be good areas to start

I think you're at least a decade too late. As rich people moved in, many good stores moved out. Last time I looked, I found some records, but everything was way overpriced. You would do better on ebay. I hope some new yorkers in the know post and prove me wrong.
With clothes, you really have to say what sort of clothes you're looking for and what you're looking to spend and even then I couldn't help but perhaps someone else could.
Yetra: What about Brooklyn? Isn't it the new village? :p

there comes a time where everyone who moves to New York criticizes all the other people who move to New York by calling them hipsters and people from the midwest...

I've been to New York once and have to say Madison Square is a nice place to to go out and walk. I'm pretty sure you can look up at a store that may tickle your fancy over the net and track down their location. You know, virgin records and all those fucking stores with shit. You might like some stuff sold at Spencers in the mall. any mall I guess. If they still have Spencers... they might of changed their names I dunno I have no current memory. Better than getting lost where no one might be familiar of the direction.
