View Full Version : I am shaking with rage...

I just have to let off some steam here if you dont mind.

I live next door to a chinese takeaway and there is an area for about 6 cars to park. I have a car and me wife has a car and its inevitable that sometimes we are struggling for parking due to takeaway customers. This isnt normally a problem but tonight me and my wife arrived at the same time to find no spaces. I was waiting behind a car and a big old woman came out of the takeaway and i thought great once she moves i can park and leave a space for the missus.

This woman got in her car then proceeded to sit there and eat her fucking curry and chips. So i got out , carrying my daughter, and was about to calmly ask her if she could move her car as me and my wife were trying to park. Before i had said two words she had told me to fuck off and i reacted by saying "do you see a sign saying "picnic area" and she replied "do you see any yellow lines, arsehole , fuck off".

At this point i nearly lost it and was going to swear back but worried that my 2 year old had already heard too many f words I said " By the looks of things you have already had way too many chips, do one". She wound her window up, telling me to fuck off yet again and gave me the finger as i walked off and she was dripping curry sauce all down her front.

All this time my wife had been watching, she had managed to park in a very unconventional spot quite far from our house and she got out gave the woman a filthy look, pushed her pregnant bump put as much as she could which managed to guilt the woman into driving off.

Couldnt fuckin believe it, i was shaking with anger cos i couldnt believe that this woman thought it ok to start swearing at me before i had even finished what i was saying. Right i feel a lot better now.
Has anyone else got any good rage stories involving complete strangers?

She was rude as hell, but it sounds like a shitty parking situation. Seems they should have at least one spot reserved for you, or maybe
the Chinese place could post a sign saying "No loitering."

its not brilliant but we do get discount! so there are pros and cons.
The problem is that its not really anyone's land so there is no rules as to parking rights, it would be better some of our neighbours didnt have big fuck off 4x4 things that take up 3 spaces. But she annoyed me cos it was obvious to her people were waiting for her to move and she couldnt wait to stuff her fat fucking face. I am still not completely calm!

It's sad that you can't expect people to exercise common courtesy. She must feel really fucking unimportant in life, so this is her bit of power.

But, yeah -- if that's the parking situation and it sucks and you knew it, you probably just have to deal.

Still seems like it'd be in the store's best interest to put up a "no loitering" sign, though. I wonder how much business they lose because
people can't find parking.

I'd hate to play Devil's Advocate here, but if there's not posted parking time limit, you really had no business saying anything to her in the first place. Could be worse, the Chinese place could put up a "15 Minute Parking Limit" sign, and you'd never be able to use the spots anymore.

Was she incredibly rude to you? No doubt about it. But it's not like the lot is reserved for people living in the building or anything.

Imagine it the other way...

This sucks... I just got ANOTHER parking ticket. There's this place where I like to go to get Chinese food, but the parking lot is small, and the people that live in the apartment next door take up 2 of the 5 spots, and there's never any room for customers to park. So I had to double park on the street and got a ticket while I was waiting to get my food.

On Coronation Street they alway's "call the council" when these types of events arise…and the council straightens out your Jack Duckworths or your Les Battersby’s right and proper…or you could give Jack or Les a tin of lager to sit in a lawn chair on the parking spot at the appropriate time, blockading chip feeding fiends...(y)

Ok its a fair point but:

a) We do have 2 cars but so do the other neighbours and its only busy some of the time, most of the time there is no problem.

b) I only asked this woman to move as my wife had just turned up and was trying to turn off the road but couldnt and was causing a bit of a traffic issue.

c) I didnt actually get to ask what i wanted to , i only got as far as "Excuse me, would you mind..." She just swore at me. If i had the time to ask i would have explained about the wife etc and she might have said ok. She soon moved when she saw the wife's bump. And she hadnt finished her chips.

d) Geezer at the chinese says its not his land or ours and it belongs to council. He's always been good to us as a neighbour and as a chef of some of the best takeaway food i ever had.

I'm just appalled at the womans reaction I was polite and I didnt think she would mind, other people have seen me coming into park and moved their cars without anyone having to ask as they were just waiting for someone in the chinese.

Oh and i know i am from lancashire but i fucking hate coronation street

Fair enough. Like I said just playing Devil's Advocate.

I'd be just as pissed, as I can't stand rude people.

I just feel no need for it.

A little empathy:

This morning, one of my pet peeves.

I'm carrying one item up to the checkout lane and this woman pushes in front of me with her full cart of groceries (except the bottom rack --
that was empty).

You know the story from here: she takes her sweet time loading things onto the belt while the cashier is fumbling with all the produce she
doesn't know the codes for... I could've been rung up and out of there in forty seconds but wound up waiting nearly ten minutes... she had
all these one-sy two-sy items that couldn't be scanned, etc.

And she kept looking everywhere but at me so she didn't have to make eye contact. :D

Pretty much the exact same thing happened to me the other day. Spent about 15 minutes of my 30 minute lunch break waiting behind some chump who didn't know his balls from his ears. After paying for my 3 items I caught up with him outside the shop and headbutted him in the face. I think I broke his nose but I didn't stick around to find out, just gave him a cheeky kick in the head and made tracks. (y)

blimey! Congrats on that.

I don't like to stand too close to women that fertile just in case there's some weird transfer of fertileness-baby-creatingness to me, but yay for you!!!

EVERYONE seems to be pregnant these days. Ok perhaps that's an exageration: I have about 4 good friends due this autumn.

Cheers and everyone seems to be pregnant because you and all your friends are getting older.. Sorry to bring that up but that is the reason.

Ok but you could change your mind at the drop of a hat. A girl i know described it as being hit by the broody bus after years of not wanting kids. She had 3 in the space of 4 and half years. So dont say you havent been warned.
