I'm just puttin two and two together here. According to Spin magazine the new "beastie boys instrumental" on Gunnin'..... is titled "Beasley Is A Beast" (http://mic-to-mic.blogspot.com/2008/06/new-instrumental-title-revealed.html).
Here is a segment from Gunnin'... featuring Beasley, wherein the term "beasley is a beast" can be heard numerous times. By the end of the segment, around 1:18, an instrumental groove plays. Yauch mentioned at one point that he had worked on a music segment for the film himself. I'm assuming that the "new beastie boys" track talk that's been circulating is probly in reference to this beat Yauch made for the Beasley scene below.

sidenote: notice the user name that posted the beasley footage on youtube: "oscopelabs". there's only two videos available from them as of now (both pertaining to GFT#1S), but this may be a youtube user to keep an eye on in the future. perhaps a source for future beastie related footage. i dont know, maybe im just being credulous.
Oh well. Have a fine day. Keep it easy. (y)

Every piece of instrumental music under those clips sounds like something Yauch could have worked on; and isn't the Beastie track called 'Bass Line is Nice'? These may be annotated names for those pieces? The Kev Love one doesn't have a title, and that's plainly the work of somebody in the Beastie camp.
Not disgreeing, just 'scussin. The piece you linked has a bassline, so that's something.

I was at the premiere. I saw three tracks: "LTD", "Michael Beasley is a Beast" and one I can't remember now. "Freaky Hijiki" was used. Two M.I.A. songs were added that weren't in the TriBeCa version (from what I can remember). "The Bass Line is Nice" (or whatever it was called) didn't appear in the movie or the credits.

From the press notes that are on the Gunnin' web site.
The music in the film (from nyc-based hip hop to jazz, r and b, and funk) was chosen strictly on
the basis that it felt right and worked with the scenes. Whether the track came out in the past
10 years or it was from the type of records that might be sampled to create hip hop, it didnʼt
matter. Sometimes we used music that was relevant to the different home towns of the players.
Whatever the scenario that led up to a specific track being chosen for a specific scene, one
thing was always clear, the music needed to compliment the visuals and conjure up the
appropriate emotions.
The tracks are as follows:

not likely. yauch said himself that most of the beastie material in the film are outtakes from TMU.
