"Probably coming out early next year..."

From an interview up now at The Huffington Post, Yauch says the album will probably be ready early 2009.

"What's going on with the Beastie Boys? I hear you're recording an album.

Yeah, we're recording now, working on stuff. It's probably coming out early next year, something like that, depends on how it goes, but that's the game plan.

What can we expect?

You know, some music and rhymes and what not."

Not a lot of information, but fairly specific in regards to a release date. Yauch also suggests that Beastie Boys music in the movie wasn't recorded specifically for the movie, but consists of instrumental outtakes and stuff recorded during The Mix Up sessions. Go to the link and read on...

So I haven't done the reading. But I do say 2009 would be just lovely for an album release. Yay!

Oh god, we heard it like thousand times before each album's release. I bet it'll change soon to "rather middle of the next year", and when 2009 comes, they would say that "christmas 2009 is the final date" :cool:
