but is that not worse if you can see that loads of people read it but couldnt be arsed replying?

If i put a remix up here i would love to know how many people had a look then but other than that i dont mind.
I thought it was possible a while back or have i dreamt that.

What do you mean by actual thread views? Absolute or unique? I think the current display is unique views...

The ratios of views to posts used to vary from about 6 to 1 to 10 to 1, but every once in a while a thread would have a 40 to 1 ratio.

im surprised this hasn't been a bigger issue. been aware of it since pretty much the new board came up a few years ago but since i haven't seen too many complaints i've just put it on hold. but i'll look into it as well.

okay i think i might have resolved the thread view issue. it might not be obvious at first when viewing old threads since the view count for old threads is corrupted (i.e. thread views showing number of replies + 1 is a hard coded amount, that has nothing to do with the actual number of thread views registered in the database. therefore some threads might have like 3 actual number of views when the number of replies is 15, though it will still show as 16. so you gotta wait for the view count to catch up for old threads. for new threads however, or those with very few replies, it should be noticeable immediately.
