I pay about what mikizee is paying, but I have high roofs and a couple of long hallways. I got pretty lucky.

Is it a big place? You know, for the amount you pay.

this made me LOL pretty loud, not sure why.

aceface, you live in the middle of nowhere...there's a big wide expensive world out there, darlin'.

I pay $508/month for a 3 bedroom with 2 roommates. my roommates pay $408. I pay extra for my private sunroom, but it's not really worth it. my apartment's about 1800 sq. ft. tho. it's bigger than the house I grew up in.

a friend of mine lives out in san fran, and for some reason her boyfriend moved back here and now their myspaces say "single" and "divorced", but their comments to each other are pleasant, so perhaps it was amicable. anyway, I was thinking maybe she might need a roommate, but she doesn't. so, nevermind!

CRAIGSLIST!

I'll be moving into a three bedroom (not counting an added on storage room which could be counted as another bedroom) one bath house in pretty good shape in a really nice neighborhood for $350.

But thats just because we know the person who owns the house. Connections ftw.

San Francisco = Not cheepest place to live.

I can remember when single rooms in SF we a minimum $900 a month and most were upwards of 1k...yes for just a single room. I have no idea if it's better or worse now.

*I think* For something in the $500-$600 range, you're most likely to find that if you get in with a group of people in one of the old victorians where there are alot of rooms and you have like 5 roomates.

Tell you friend not to rule out places like Daily City, Colma, South San Fran, or even the East Bay...Oakland, Alameda, etc., etc. All of those are near by areas and are usually cheeper and have regular Bart/or public transit access into SF.

S'ok, I took it apart and it was just a blown fuse on the power supply.
