View Full Version : Thinking about how cats don't like confined spaces

It must be the most horrible way for a cat to die, in a bag thrown in a river. I had to take the cat to the vet in her little cage, and she hated it. It made me think of how torturous those last moments must be for a kitty, and how they probably think of being splattered by a truck in the same way we think of drowning (read: the most peaceful way to go).

i actually think that drowning is horrifying and would prefer instantaneous truck splatterage

i think you're overthinking it

also yeah, what the hell kid P, you think drowning is the most peaceful way to go? why do you think we use waterboarding to interrogate people

What's a more peaceful way bob? Stuffed a big pan of dough and baked into a loaf?

William Wallaces hanging, drawing and quartering sounded pretty fucked up. I've been trying to imagine being alive whilst being disemboweled. Gutted, I mean. Don't like that "bowel" thing.

I almost drown when I was small and I remember it feeling very stressful, I kept kicking to come up to the surface and sinking down again, I'd never been in a pool before and someone knocked me off of the little floaty thing I was on. I was pulled out in time (duh) and 5 minutes later I was TOLD how to swim and thrown back in with the instruction to swim to the other side.

Needless to say, I haven't liked being in the water since...

I like cats and don't like thinking about them being scared or sad, so let's continue this conversation about human death!

Drowning would be horrible, but I'd take that over burning to death. A guillotine wouldn't be too cool because though the death itself would be sudden, the public humiliation and buildup to the chop would be excruciating.

Brain aneurysms are the way to go, methinks.

I had a dream the other night where I was being crushed like Indiana Jones in the Temple of Doom. He escaped, but what if I didn't? I didn't in this dream.

The roof was slowly coming down, and I was screaming. I was probably screaming in real life, because I have a habit of doing this; I am a bad dreamer. Then I could feel my muscles pop, and my skull crack, and then it all went red as my brain was squashed.

As far as choosing a death goes, well, I would like to be shot in the chest and given enough time to say goodbye to everyone I love.

As far as cats go, well, they always escape, don't they! Cute cats. Falling asleep, mewing and what not.

shot in the chest. how very irish republican of you.

hey kid p - william wallace was also emasculated and eviscerated according to wikipedia/my limited scottish history knowledge. now, that is a shitty, painful way to go but geez louise - at least you know you are hated a considerable amount to go through all of that effort. scotland ftw!

i had almost drowned when I was little. I was on the beach by the bay and went for a swim and got caught by an undertow.

I tried to swim to the top but the current was way too strong so I started running underwater but getting nowhere. Then the current let up and I came to the surface.

I got to the beach and I remember a little crab and I let it pinch me to see if I were still alive.

It did seem peaceful come to think of it though. It was as if I were in a dream.

Hey man, thanks for upping this. I was in fact a little sad for the cat when she had to go in that cage thing. But, people seemed to want to contribute to the thread, which is cool. I was glad for their input, and wasn't at all bothered that they didn't know anything about cats. (y)

old thread i know but just a few weeks ago my mum told me that my grandpa was drowning puppies cause they could not find owners for them, it was also right after the 2nd world war (in austria) and the mother dog didnt have enough milk for all of her new borns

he was feeling guilty about it all of his life but it was probably the right thing to do

i was shocked when my mum told me this but at the same time i thought that my grandpa had more balls than i could ever have, starving would have been a much shittier death for them
