Boogie Nights was a 2 hour music video. But best contenders were ELO's -A Living Thing-The end where the Star pops out the real Moviestar and Sniff n the Tears- Drivers Seat-Waiting for Coke...Made me as anxious as they were

Blow - Black Betty- With George Jung strutting through Airport security while that song was playing was Law!

To Live & Die in LA ~ The movie and the song go in tandem hand in hand

And The part where Raol Duke tells Dr. Gonzo to throw the music player playing Jefferson Airplane "White Rabbit" in the bathtub he's in while the song is playing is permanently engraved in my brain

Great topic, this happens to me a lot, a song I may or may not of really enjoyed is redefined being used in a different medium,

Off the top of my head, Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" from the Sopranos (not technically a movie..but classic example)

"Then He Kissed Me" the Crystals from Goodfellas

"Heat of the Moment" by Asia from both movies, The Matador & 40 Year Old Virgin

One of the more amazing songs is Bob Dylans "Hurricane" about Rubin Carter's conviction for murder (but once he could've been King of the World) which came out in 1975... then the movie came out in 1999 and most thought he wrote the song for the film. It made me realize two things, Dylan is brilliant and the general population is lacking in cultural skills. That made the song more relevant, 14 years later.

First off - your avatar rules!
Second, Goodfellas soundtrack (y) Most of the songs on there that its impossible for me not to think about that film when i hear them now.

I know its kinda obvious but Tarantino is an expert at this, as well as being good at finding lost gems, stuff like "Son Of a Preacher Man" , "Bang Bang" and "You never can tell" deffo fall into this category.

I'm surprised to see that you saw The Matador as well. I thought it was an off the shelf movie. Great: It was. I remember the quotes moreso than the music.
"More than all the teenage twat in Thailand"
You look good "are you kidding I feel like a Bangkok hooker on Sunday morning"

That's Lulzcow in the making

But, yes, I caught Asia's "Heat of the Moment"

Here's one for You: Jarhead~ Something in the Way-Nirvana

Goodfellas - Layla - Eric Crapton
When they discover the bodies. Most importantly the body in the the freezer locker

I'll never be able to see that movie again w/o thinking of the consequences

And, yes, when I ever hear Journey playing Don't Stop Believing I'll forever think of Tony getting ready to get whacked.

The 40-Year Old Virgin redefined "Belive It Or Not" in a bad way.

Didn't Know That: But I Can't Say That I'm Surprised

Overall~ That was a great soundtrack when you factor in that it was an 80's movie

Reminds Me
Boiler Room ~ Great Music Played throughout yet a CD soundtrack was never realeased
