List bands/artists that you haven't seen live yet and really want to see before they break up/their members die/they lose their shine. And please list bands/artists that can feasibly perform at this point in history. If you say The Beatles, I'll smack you one.

The Black Keys (don't understand how I haven't seen them yet...)
A Tribe Called Quest
Ween (may have my chance on 7/19)
Bonobo
Prince
Nine Inch Nails
Amon Tobin
Built to Spill

I'm sure I'll think of more. GO!

Dude, I saw them in a pretty small club in Indianapolis about 2 years ago. It was a pretty incredible show - Dan was ethereal.

I advise you the same with Kings of Leon. Saw them at Bonnaroo in '05 and they fucking rocked for real.

Also, I want to see Radiohead again (I'm breaking the rules of my own thread, but it's my thread which means I can do that, so shut up). I had a spiritual awakening during their set at Bonnaroo. Could have been the weed cookie talking, so I need another viewing to serve as the control for the experiment.

The Cure (played here a couple of months ago, but I had to work. :'(
Pulp (I only saw the last song when they played @ lowlands)
Beirut (Zach Condon's so lovely, but he cancelled the european tour.)

I saw Black Keys open for Radiohead twice and I didn't care for them but I know it's tough to be an opening act. It's particularly bad with Radiohead because I get so excited. I'd consider giving them another go at a club.

Daft Punk was the only band left on my list before I saw them last year in Seattle. I stuck out like a sore thumb but I had fun.

I suppose Led Zeppelin is on my list even though they would be well past their prime. That's all I've got.

I've never seen Joni Mitchell. Does she still sing?

I'm more than likely seeing them [Sigur Ros] in September and I'm fucking geeked. I've heard they're amazing live.

Try to get tickets on main floor even if you're midway back. If this tour is like the last ones, the light show will be better from main floor. The incline from the balcony at the Orpheum is steep so I'm not sure what you see unless you're in the front rows. I don't know whether Amiina is touring with them again, but if so they're the one opening act worth showing up early for. I haven't heard a single thing about this tour.

Oh I've seen more than half the bands mentioned here! (and almost all worth mentioning...)
But there is still that I haven't seen, which I want to, like

Nine Inch Nails (they've played here quite a few times, just a couple of months ago the latest, but never bothered to
get tickets in time or they've been too expensive)
Grinderman (they're playing Way Out West (http://www.wayoutwest.se/) in Gothenburg in a months time, with Sonic Youth, Flaming Lips, Sonics,
Silverbullit, N*E*R*D, Sigur Rós, Buzzcocks etc, seen them all before except Sonics), really wanna go!!!

hmmmmm.... can't think any more good ones that I haven't seen....
And now I'm off to see Lou Reed with choir and orchestra to perform Berlin!!:D

bands I've wanted to see since my high school days, but never did:

NIN
Weezer
Green Day
Radiohead

a couple of weeks ago, I saw an excellent Led Zeppelin cover band perform on the steps of a church and a neighborhood festival, and it ruled! I can't imagine how much the real Led Zeppelin would rule...actually, maybe not as much these days.

I just bought tickets for Jay Reatard, and I'm so fucking pumped. I thought he was only going to be performing at the pitchfork music festival, but they revealed a secret after show. although I think I might still go to one day of pitchfork so I can see les savy fav.

Oh hell yes!
I'm seeing them twice this summer (Dour + Lowlands festivals). The times I've seen them before were the biggest parties ever and I always end up totally moshed to bits. (y)

I've been thinking some more, but I've actually already seen most of the things I like. There's just a bunch of bands I'd want to see again.
Although I wouldn't mind seeing the following:

The Beta Band
Ben Folds Five

Divine Comedy
Ed Harcourt

There's actually very little scratching. More like mashing up of segments from random foreign films with some laser and robot type sounds overlapped. Not the kind of stuff to which you can truly shake your groove thing. (n)

I like the 'hip hop tribute' aspect of the footage I've seen. Plus their musicianship nuts, and Thought is one of my favourite mcs. I was serious about Weezy, too. Since I don't see the fuss at all, I wouldn't mind seeing him do his thing to convince me.

the roots are a lot of fun to watch live, they keep the energy up. plus, their mash up of all things popular is always pretty cool, and it makes you realize how broad a range they can actually cover

prince

rodrigo y gabriela
red hot chili peppers
radiohead
the mars volta
gnarls barkley

beastie boys
allman brothers band

and even though i saw some of their show, i'd love to see a whole set by my morning jacket
