Do you think we need to know anything about the end of the TV show before we go? I only watched a couple of episodes in the last season, and I don't remember anything except what happened to the baby and what happened to the Lone Gunmen. I had the final two hours on a VHS tape for a few years and then threw away the VHS player and tapes and I'm sure I never watched it.

no. chris carter practically destroyed the franchise by becoming incredibly lazy, and by giving into the rapid, obsessive fans who insisted that mulder and scully's professional, platonic friendship had to become a cheeseball romance. he then ruined the original and extremely well-written mythology, killed off great characters, replaced them with one dimensional boring flacks, and created a new mythology that was a direct rip-off of the terminator. then scully went from a very strong-willed, independent woman to a blubbering, stereotypical cliche weakling that male writers seem to think pregnant women are, and had a baby with magical powers.

I've never seen an episode of the X-Files but I silently judge everybody who is a fan.
