Anybody got any ideas for what I can write about? I really need a push.

censorship maybe? we're doing a play next year at the theatre and it's got a lot of spicy language in it. the board decided to do it but leave all the bad words out. to me that's wrong and not what the author intended when writing it. i dislike censorship.

I did an argumentative essay for college. It wasn't an "I'm right, you're wrong" type argument; it just had to be convincing. So I argued that more people should learn sign language. You could always do something like that. Persuading people to do yoga, or the health benefits of masturbation or something. But I'm not sure if your teacher wants that or a right vs. wrong type essay.

Oh, I also wrote about the case for bullet fingerprinting. Each barrel of a gun contains specific markings and when a bullet is shot, it will travel down the barrel and the markings will etch in a "fingerprint" to each bullet. This is forensic evidence and allows the bullet to be matched to the gun it was shot. The NRA doesn't want it, but it's good for catching criminals (that was my argument). It's not quite gun control, so something like that could work. Safety measures on guns and why they should be in place, perhaps. It was a fun assignment too, I got to visit fun places in the D.C. area and interview forensic scientists and shit. :cool:

A hot topic in the past two corporate offices I've worked has been health insurance benefits to "domestic partners". I live with my boyfriend, so I would consider him a domestic partner, but the corporate offices of both places said he doesn't qualify to be added to my benefits, as we're not same sex. Why does domestic partner have to be same sex? I could argue the fairness or unfairness of this one all day long.
