....But only one or two will last.
You go through all the pain and strife,
Then you turn your back and they're gone so fast.
Oh yeah. And They're gone so fast. yeah
Oh, so hold on to the ones who really care,
In the end they'll be the only ones there.
When you get old and start losing your hair,
Can you tell me who will still care?
Can you tell me who will still care?
Oh, oh yeah, yeah!
MMMbop tick a ta ba do ba

MMMbop tick a ta ba do ba

Oh yeah, in an MMMBop they're gone. Yeah.

i never realised how deep that song was.
my whole life i just dismissed it as another pop song on the radio, only now do i realise how much wisdom it had to impart.
i feel like i've wasted my life.

Isn't "strife" what heavy metal kids went through in the 80s? I didn't know people still had that.

im deadly serious.
We always fixate on the Mmm bippity bop ticktey boo bop stuff, but hidden in between the choruses are some nuggets of real wisdom.
It has transformed my whole perspective, and now even the chorus seems like the call to the universe of some kind of shamen or tibetan monk.
