yeah paul, you need a tourist visa to enter russia and you need to apply for it before you enter the country. you'll get a cool sticker in your passport with RUSSIAN on it. awesome. i am impressed by small things.

I spoke with mr.p about this last week. A few things:

- Do not expect anyone there to be at all helpful or to possess anything resembling a sense of humour.

- Download all of the forms you need to have completed and complete them before you go.

- Bring cash. Especially if you need it urgently. If you do you can get it that day but it will cost you about 200 quid cash. Mr.p said he never saw such large amounts of cash changing hands as he did when he was there.
