:(

I don't wanna have a birthday party tonight. I have a feeling only 5 people are going to show up anyway because my most loyal party-attending friends are all out of town this weekend for a wedding.

my roommate bought streamers. kill me.

ya, but my ego is going to deflate if only 5 people come. whatever, I wish that my roommate didn't tell people it was going to be a "blowout bash". the whole time I've been calling it a "get together", but now she amped up the description and I'm afraid that people are going to be disappointed.

I actually hate having parties.

I'm getting kind of anxious about turning 29 too, I guess. :/

nah, when you turn 30 a bunch of people want to come to your party for the sole purpose of making fun of you. luckily I know a bunch of losers over 30, so I don't feel too bad. somehow being "almost 30" seems worse than being 30. DON'T QUESTION ME!

I had my first ever grown up party/bbq for my birthday party last week and I was also terrified no one was going to come, seriously shitting it. But in the end about 25 people made it. Which was a relief as I had spent £400 on food and drink. Relax, and have a laugh even if only a few people turn up, it's quality not quantity

And I was 31 which should have been enough to depress me

I'm not sure I want to get raped tonight, but thanks for the advice. ha.

trailerprincess, yeah, I am trying to not worry about it too much if a lot of people don't come. I guess I'm just haunted by ghosts of parties past. my best friend and I used to have legendary parties that ran past 4 a.m. most times. ah, but I suppose we were young then, 26.

I need to finish cleaning my room when I get home. just in case I want to awkwardly make out with someone in there.

shit, I bet I just jinxed myself.

well, it was alright. about 12-15 people showed up. I got people to do karaoke, I got people to do mad libs. the mad libs clinched it for sure. my like interest showed up and we had some laughs. left though, which is fine.

RAISING ARIZONA TIME!

I had 29 guests in my apartment last night for my annual party. New attendance record without even trying!
