i've noticed that all but one of the girls that i have liked are going to either be teachers or nurses.
on top of that, i pass 4 or 5 hospitals on my work commute, and i must say that i am a fan of a lady in scrubs.
so does the profession play a part for anyone else? i don't really know why those two always come up, but even most of the ladies that i talk to most regularly are involved in them.

it CAN, but it isn't the defining factor.
I do know that when men involve themselves in positions, be it their day job or something on the side, for bettering/helping the community or some similar line of work I tend to find that incredibly attractive.

i think that might be part of my thoughts as well. for whatever reason, my brain feels the highest compatibility with nurses/teachers.
its not like i even really seek them out really, it just sort of happened that way

If a bitch can't hook a man up with a club sandwich and a cold one on a hot day then she may as well be dead. Or in Eastern Europe taking it every which way for a couple of Hryvnias.

well, you've got a decent percentage that work any old office job. and then the larger share of wait staff as well. and certainly anyone not working loses lots of points there.
i know one thing that's certain is that i couldnt marry someone in the same field as myself.

maybe it's not so much the profession but the type of person that job function attracts. so you just have a type that tends to go towards certain professions.

women seem to get all messy in the panties for guys that can fix and build things.

I always liked lawyer/proffessional type women.
I've also grown to be turned off to model/actress/dancer types.

Brett's going to have the same degree as me (he got accepted to my program this upcoming year), though he doesn't know what he wants to do yet. I want to go into private industry librarianship (law libraries, health-science libraries, government libraries, etc). I dunno, though. Basically the MLIS degree can apply to any kind of information management profession (not just libraries) - so people who need information catalogued, archived, organized, stored, will need someone with a MLIS degree. Government librarians in the US make bank though - $70,000 starting, upwards of $120,000 for management positions.
Anyways, to answer the question, no it does not attract me. I just want someone motivated and someone who has career goals. The fact that Brett's going to be a guybrarian just makes our relationship THAT much nerdier. Honestly though, if I was single, I'd probably hit on some of the guys in my program. They're actually REALLY hot, and super smart to boot. (y)

I tend go for nurses and hookers, but I don't think it's neccesarliy their professions that are attractive to me. I think it's more because I'm at the free clinic a lot.
