i can't stand people who think the names
of genres are important. they go on and on about what
band is this and what band is that. "oh that's new wave
not punk" "oh that's disco not synthpop". SHUT THE FUCK
UP! it doesn't matter! what do they want? some sort of
prize because they think they can properly categorize music?
it's so fucking lame. people like that are usually super
close minded also. they only listen to one specific "subgenre"
of music. i love and embrace every style of music and i know
that the name of it is the least important part.

i'm going to blow my brains out if i hear another stupid fucking
core suffix. hardcore. grindcore. speedcore. shitcore. fuckcore.

I agree about this, I did a focus group for a local radio station once and this stupid girl tried to argue with me about whether Get Up Kids were emo or emo-rock.

I had no idea what either genre was at the time (still don't see how they're different) or how I came to be embroiled in such a mind-numbingly pointless debate.

But yea I agree I also hate people that say they hate a whole genre of music. Have you heard every fucking song in that genre? If you'd expand your mind a little bit you might enjoy more music. Ya its all barriers man, labels to keep people locked into groups. I can get down with pretty much anything.
