Say 5-10 years old?

Makes me want to kill myself, personally. I've really let myself go. :(

You shouldn't be so hard on yourself, most people's looks change dramatically from when they were 5 to 10 years old. Well, except for Gary Coleman.

Eh, from that long ago I don't really care about it. It ha no effect on how I feel about myself right now.

Pictures from one, two, or three years ago... are kind of weird for me right now. On one level, I feel good because I'm finally getting results I can actually see with losing my weight loss - and finally having other people notice it too. But on the other hand, I feel disgusted that I ever let it get as bad as it did and still feel a little ashamed that I can't just wake up and be skinny tomorrow.

That's kind of prissy and emo sounding, but whatever. I think you get the idea. So, I didn't really vote...

well, ten years ago i was 15 - a child, pratically. i don't have any pictures of myself pre-university around the house. all my pictures from school etc are packed in boxes in my dad's house, and i find it unlikely i will ever visit him to get all that stuff back (when my parents got divorced my mum moved away and my dad downsized to a smaller house and kept all of our stuff). infact, i think he has probably just thrown all my crap out. it wouldn't surprise me.

five years ago i was 20 and i was pretty fucking big. i'm certainly no slip of a thing now, but i was heftier then. when i was with my first boyfriend we just got fat TOGETHER. apparently this happens to lots of people in relationships - they put on weight when they get into a routine. anyhiz, i didn't really give two hoots because i was pretty oblivious to it, but i do wish i put a bit more effort into my appearance and got off my arse to go to the gym or something.

dunno really. i'm getting on now, but i rarely look back and think wow i was way hotter then. just had fewer grey hairs. sometimes i think eww, i was too skinny then.

anyway, post a pic ddd and we'll tell ya.

besides, it's never too late to get yourself back!

it all depends on the era of my life from which the pictures were taken. 10 years ago, ha, i was just barely in high school and adorable. 5 years ago, i was fucking miserable. but life changes so quickly these days that i hardly recognize the person i was a year ago. c'est la vie.

but yeah, i'd like to think i look a hell of a lot better now than a while back. i actually put effort into it (y)

i think i look horrible in any pictures-not when i was a kid tho-from about 12 onwards i became the worlds' least-photogenic person. so i don't feel good or bad looking at photos. (except one from a family holiday on majorca when i was about 11 and really brown and skinny and cellulite was not invented!! then i feel a bit pissed off i had to grow up.) but i make a lot more effort these days so allthough i look like a trog in a photo i think i look a lot better in real life.

I'm one of those people who grew into my looks. 5 or 10 years ago my face was still forming into itself and I was wearing too much makeup and all that. I think I definitely look better now.

I definitely look better now than I did 5-10 years ago. I got a handle on my hair and learned how to dress and wear better-fitting bras.

I get disappointed when I see pictures of myself now though, because I always think I'm skinnier than I look in photos. meh. 2 years ago, I was getting pretty fit, I like those pictures, trying to get back to that. the asiago cheese bagel and cream cheese I just ate ain't helpin.

I look so damn good when I was in spells of depression. those hermiting periods are when I look my bestest cause I go to the gym more, go on more solo walks, take the time to make yummy healthy meals for myself, and do lots of pilates while I stay at home alone watching movies.

when Im happy and social whore I spend my free time meeting up with people, eating out, drinking lotsa more booze etc.

and Ive noticed that I always am my skinniest during the winter months. I think its because I dont enjoy summer clothes that show alot of skin so I kinda let myself go (going to lots of bbq's doesnt help either).

In the winter I slim out because that way I look even better in skin-tight head to toe clothes.

The biggest thing I miss about pics of me from 5 years ago is my long hair and that fact that I had about 30% more in general pre-hair loss episode. sigh.

10 years ago is the era of having really bad skin and not knowing the wonders make-up can do.
Though I would probably trade in for my B-cup jockish volleyball playing body atleast a couple days a week now.
Though I had acknowledged that pants sitting on the hips looked better on my but they hadnt created them yet so I just bought boys cords and wore them gangsta loose back then. that combo-ed with hippy thrift store shirts and crazy unable to manage curly hair = eeek.

I look at old pictures and think, "dude, you were so bland." Compared to now where I think "You dirty dog you. You sly dog. Guys do get better with age." Then I take out my comb and right when I'm about to put it to my hair in the mirror, i throw my arms out and say "Heeyyyy" because its perfect. Like that werewolf drinkin a pina colada at Trader Vic's.

Are you one of the girls with pink pants?

About 5 or six years ago I was at my thinnest, I hadn't started to fill out too much and I was lucky cuz I could pretty much eat anything but my hair looked awful and I looked too goth-y...mentally I was in a terrible state though......nowadays I'm heftier, which in someways is good because I now have boobs and an ass, but whenever I see a full body pic of me these days it makes me sad, :(

I think Gary's looks changed tremendously from the first to last seasons of Diff'rent Strokes.

i look older but also i feel more comfortable in my body. not that im all accepting and loving... just.... more than before.

10 years ago i was so very awkward looking. and 5 years ago, i was very very skinny but very very fucked up. so now i feel like ive hit a proper stride. and i got big boobs in the process.

Ten years ago, I was what - 13? So I was a really skinny kid and had that teenage awkwardness about me, but at least I wasn't camera shy and my smile in those photos is really natural and happy. I miss that.

Five years ago, I was 18. Slightly thinner than I am now, and having just discovered clubs and bars everything was inappropriately tight. I wouldn't want to go back to being that person, ever.

I'm not sure if I look better or not. I know one thing though, I look a hell of a lot happier and when I look back on older pictures a lot of happy memories come flooding back.

I don't know if the same thing could be said in five years time.

It's not that I look better then (I've lost about 75 pounds in the past three years), but I wish I had my old life back. The life I had 3 or four years ago would be great :(

Wow this poll is pretty straightforward, no maybes or third options.

Honestly, I look at pictures of myself now and back than and it makes no difference. I am perfectly comfortable in my own skin, past or present.(y)
