So I'm at the library and there's a floppy disk left behind in the computer. Some guy named Travis, and one of his files has his phone number
on it. I don't have a cell phone, but I think it'd be funny for someone to call him and let him know his disk will be at the information desk on
the second floor.

Any takers?

Call and say some fictitious name and say that you are calling from giving the address of the library and that you were alarmed about a certain disc left by a "say his name here" and certainly he should know that libraries are federal property and the federal laws apply to all "items" left at a library. And was he aware that he left a disk at the library: Silence is Golden. Whoever speaks 1st loses. And then ask if he was aware what was on the disc~ In a tone that reaks of superiority. Then give him direction to some Hoboken nowhere place where you say that your superiors would like to speak with him. Leave the number from the payphone that you're calling from

But seriously -- some stranger finds your disk you left at a library, turns it in, and writes you to let you know whwere it is? That deserves a thank you.

Whatever. Not that I expect common courtesy -- it just sometimes takes me off guard when someone doesn't exercise it.
