Some depressing stories but happy endings as these people are being saved from self destruction from their drug usage.
I've followed a couple of episodes because it was posted on a different forum, haven't seen it on tv and had no idea of the show because I get home at midnight.
The duster episode is crazy..Huffing up to 10 cans of duster a day. Jesus christ!!

there's alot of good episodes on there. An alcoholic that starts off drinking in the shower after he wakes up till he falls asleep. He's got a beautiful daughter and wife but he's completely unaware of it.
A once professional cyclist turned to homeless crackhead.

I wouldn't say it's weird at all. Man, I'm living and knowing that a real good friend of mine passed away after the first time he's tried huffing butane.
Duster isn't as extreme but chances of passing away after the first huff are very great.
It's probably as close as irl unfold in front as your eyes can get.
I've had a few friends pass on because they decided to make drugs their main reason of living. And they knew better, they were smart guys.
Keep on texting. Don't feel stupid about it.

I did the same. It's so involving.
Did you see that meth head/alcoholic stripper? Man she was nuts as all hell.
She plans to be sober and be a stripper again. Yeah right. They need to update her.

Hehe. Sorry. Alot of these stories brings me back to home. I've lived through divorce, my pops turning into alcoholic heavily due to his roll in Vietnam.
My mom trying to live through her decision of divorce and raising my bro and I and selling coke and working 60+ hours a week to make sure we lived well. Man, the houses we lived in were huge and after I turned 12, I became aware of how my mom was affording them.
I've witnessed her starting to get high on her own supply when I reached 16. She was almost in a coma when I came to visit, lying on the couch in her own vomit, I had to call 9/11 to get her medical attention.
When I was 28, my mom had gotten her house raided under suspicion of her selling coke. They had the dogs and everything but they didn't find anything. She felt guilty and gave them her last 20 sack that she was about to sell later on.
She's been clean ever since.

eh, disregard my stories and stuff. I don't want to take the thread over with my experiences.
It's just good to see people getting the help they need before it's too late.

^ I've seen both of those.
my ex loved to watch this show...so I've seen almost all the episodes. it's interesting..but I get really depressed if I have to watch a bunch of them in a row.
It was hard to understand why my ex liked to watch it, because he had battled addiction, got clean and has stayed clean. I'm like "uh you pretty much lived this so why do we need to watch it?" but the fact that he had been through it was exactly the reason he wanted to see others going through it.

I'm watching the Iraq veteran, Brad right now. Part 3 of it.
He's totally going about it the wrong way. Perhaps he could meet up with veterans who've seen the same things he has and aren't alcoholics?
He seems like a good guy but using the death of his sergeant just to fuel his alcoholism isn't cool at at all.

^^
Damn shithead. He left treatment after 21 days and his pops denied him from living at his house. He says he has to "cut down" but if he's living with the same friend who let him drink more vodka after he passed out in the chair, the chances are slim to none. He could do better than that.

I can see anyone preventing themself from a possible relapse by watching these episodes before doing whatever they were addicted to. Not saying that's your ex's reason, not sure of his either.
