i lived in st. petersberg for a year. i got sick of that shit... we never got much damage but it's still annoying. you never know if a hurricane might hit you.

i miss the salvador dalí museum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvador_Dal%C3%AD_Museum) though :( i want to go again

I live in the Tampa Bay area. We're pretty lucky, we never seem to get hit by hurricanes. My house is in an evacuation zone, but its the last zone on the list so I doubt I will be evacuating, especially for a cat 1 hurricane. Still, with 70 mph winds, im not taking any chances. I'm stocked up on food and stuff. Gotta love the hurricane season:(

we did fine here. were it to flood, it would have to come up about 20 some feet before it would be near our 2nd floor balcony.

the rain was really just an annoyance in downtown orlando and the rest of orange county. but other counties are still flooded.

For real man!...we have tons of evacuees here in stinktown and it's freaking me out. I never had to deal with hurricanes in Ohio.
