The cone of silence is a cone of bullshit. Supposedly McCain did not hear the questions Obama fielded first but yet magically answered them before hearing them.

Looks like the same ol' shit... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n83M-jgOaJQ&eurl=http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/8/17/02247/6361/368/569146)

pffthaha.

Both of them have been in countless debates and town hall style meetings where they answer questions from a line of people. I'm willing to bet there isn't a question they haven't been asked a dozen times at this stage of the game.

The only thing hilarous is the fact that you give any credibility whatsoever to those partisan youtube videos.

That YouTube video is misleading, especially if you watched that forum on TV. The video tried to make it sound as if all Pastor Warren said was: '...Now I don't want to hear your stump speech on education" and then McCain immediately answers: "Yes, yes, and find bad teachers a different line of work." The truth is Warren already started on the question in the moments before the YouTube video selectively edited it.

Yeah, I do think McCain answered the questions rather quickly (while Obama often took a brief moment to articulate his answer), but I don't know if that really proves he was told each and every question or that he was listening in before it was his turn. I interpret it more as McCain referring to his usual talking points and impulsively answering them while Obama likes to think his answers through. To me, it's just their individual styles.

Now, the only complication is that McCain was apparently in his car before arriving to the church (where he may or may not have had the opportunity to listen to Obama's questions) rather than the "cone of silence" as we were lead to believe, so it's inevitable we'll speculate. I'm not 100% sure what really happened, but am leaning towards McCain not being given advance notice.

And Rob$, you've given credibility to your own "partisan" YouTube videos as well (you've linked a number of them), so it's not like you're the one to talk on this.
