funny.....McCain can't remember how many houses he owns while many who will vote for him are losing theirs.

en. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said in an interview Wednesday that he was uncertain how many houses he and his wife, Cindy, own.

"I think — I'll have my staff get to you," McCain told Politico in Las Cruces, N.M. "It's condominiums where — I'll have them get to you."

backpeddling his foolish and undeniably elitist statement -

n the interview, McCain did not offer an alternate number, but had a new answer ready.

“I define rich in other ways besides income,” he said. “Some people are wealthy and rich in their lives and their children and their ability to educate them. Others are poor if they’re billionaires.”

If he can't remember (which I doubt he has) something like this he should not be President of the U.S.

Petty.

Even for Obama to bring it up.

At this point what isn't petty?

Half brothers, elitism, cones of silence, religion, lobbyists and international connections, taxes, gaffes....when was it never petty?

Maybe McCain can give some of his undisclosed number of homes to those who felt the mortgage crisis.

I love how Obama says he just has one house like the rest of us.

I also like how they can translate success into something only a bad person for President could have.

This gets better by the day. On either side, it's pure entertainment.

I wonder if McCain got any of his homes from shady real estate developers that got kickbacks in the form of government contracts.

Because that's how Obama got his million dollar mansion.

I can't believe Obamatons are actually going to bring up the issue of McCain's Real Estate,....LOL
I mean do you realize who his wife is?

Sure, she's a $100 million beer heiress. They own so many houses they can't remember them all without sitting down and counting. This all points to them being a member of the "elite." Ironically, McCain said just a few months ago that Obama was "elitist" and out of touch with "average Americans," yet apparently McCain ISN'T elitist and knows what the average person deals with? I mean, how can you be down-to-earth and understanding of the everyday problems the people have when you're so very, VERY far from being "average"?

It's a valid point for Democrats to bring up. If someone points the finger and says "You're elitist!" and yet can't remember how many homes he has...well, that says a lot.

In his defense -- a bunch of the homes are in his wife's name and daughter's (I think), so maybe that's what he needed to sort out.

Like you, I'm not of the opinion that my candidate is in any way perfect, and anyone under the assumption that any Presidential candidate (throughout history) isn't of the "elite" is simply naive.

If someone is making an issue of McCain's wealth, well DUH, yeah.
But I think it's also noteworthy that he's no prodigal son who hid behind his family's name or his wife's wealth. He's served his country more than honorably when he probably could have used his fathers influence to avoid serving in 'Nam ala Georgieboy.

IMO, if anyone's deserving to have more homes than they can count and a stunning heiress for a wife, it's a Vietnam P.O.W.
I would support a bill that mandated beautiful heiress's to marry returning P.O.W.'s
