Do you support live music in your area? Who's the best kept seceret on the scene? turn us on....

On friday night I saw Locura (http://www.myspace.com/locuramusica)

SPAIN. CUBA. JAMAICA. CALIFORNIA. This extraordinary group of musicians mixes grooves and melodies from Flamenco, Reggae, Cuban Son, and North American Folk. To the stage they bring the mysterious and passionate world of Flamenco, combined with the driving, full sound of a salsa band.

they are outstanding. great vocals and really fun. I'm totally in love with their new album: Animas (www.cdbaby.com/cd/locuramusica)

Well, while i haven't gotten to see him yet, girl talk is pretty much the shit

but if you're looking for smaller local acts, my favorite is probably the boogie hustlers (http://www.myspace.com/theboogiehustlers). they have a good funky soul vibe to their sound.

i found out about them through my cousin, who knows the guys, and i think a few of them are playing at his wedding, so i'm sad im going to miss it.
