Wasn't this originally scheduled before and then postponed? My spidey-sense is not feeling a performance, unfortunately.
Chill.

Just in case the boys were considering a performance, MMM's tour schedule happens to be open that day.

About Rational Animal:
Rational Animal was founded in New York City in 2002 by Susan Brandt, a media professional with a passion for animals. The organization's mission is to increase public awareness about at-risk animals in New York City - those animals whose lives and well-being are in jeopardy. RA creates media campaigns and special events to advocate primarily for homeless companion animals. This volunteer organization is driven by a core of writers, artists and designers, filmmakers, editors, and event planners, researchers and ethologists - all animal lovers who use their talents to creatively produce media to increase awareness for the animals that need our help.
The Gimme Shelter: Rock Rescue benefit concert is also presented by Hiro Ballroom, Mudhoney Salon, Save The Chimps, NY1 News, GBH TV, Zipang Sparkling Sake, Lagunitas Brewing Company and Red Jacket Orchards.

I still regret that I didn't go to Massive Attack. I listen them whenever I'm writing a brief and I ALWAYS think of how I missed that show!
I had been looking for things to do in NYC in between the Hiro show and the Hip Hop Honors. I got tickets to the opera and to Grey Gardens and some film festival stuff. I knew about the Massive Attack show but I decided not to go because I had so much planned. I hope to god I saw Madame Butterfly that night instead of Grey Gardens. I can't remember. I met up with a friend for her birthday as well.
Anyhow, that week was one of the best weeks ever. I can't believe how much I packed into that trip.
