my fingers smell like garlic

i minced some garlic about 11 hours ago and my fingers still smell like garlic

they don't taste like garlic though. i keep licking them, expecting that fact to change but it doesn't. i don't know why i keep doing it though, raw garlic tastes terrible. so maybe they do taste like garlic? i don't know. i can't sleep though, i just keep thinking about my fingers. and garlic.

Wash your fingers with toothpaste or lemonjuice or listerine or any strong booze and perhaps cough medicine.

I smoke a few cigars every now and again and that does the trick.

Regular soap doesn't seem to cut to the stink.

yeah i ate some garlic heavy pizza with my fingers once and the garlic smell lasted like one week and taking a shower every day didnt do shit, the garlic totally sucks into your and under your skin

i also had a bad ear infection the day before x mas and my mum cut onions and wrapped it in some cloth and i had to lay my ear on it and had to sleep that way
the next morning my hair totally smelled like straight ass garlic so i took a shower and washed my hair like 3 times with a strawberry shampoo but the onion smell still didnt fuck off and my ear didnt feel any better..

the strawberry/onion combination is probably the worst smell i know unless i have to share a room with turd or eriKlee

I wonder if people who work in Lemon orchards or toothpaste factories use garlic to remove the smell from their fingers?

The worst smell on anyones fingers is scampi fries. Yuck.

The best trick to get rid of the smell is to rub it on a peeled, fresh, uncooked, potatoe (the starch neutralizes the smell) or on something made of stainless steel. (y)

Actually, if you rub your garlicy fingers vigorously on a cheese grater the smell will eventually disappear. It's uncanny.

That's one of my biggest complaints with garlic. I love cooking with it, but when I use a lot of it, my fingers will smell like that for a day and a half. I hate it! It almost makes me want to wear gloves when using it.

hopefully this is not a problem for you now, so this is for future bob. rub your fingers on stainless steel (either your whole sink, or the drains). gets rid of onion and garlic smells.
