I think it'd be interesting, but when I watched that youtube I was simultaneously fascinated and a little bit uneasy, it did look kind of unnatural. Maybe that's just me - I think more than anything it's that I feel like that split line is tender or breakable, and bloody tongue is a turn off.

wasnt there one that is pretty brutal. I think its called scarring. Basically, pretty much a professional using a sharp x-acto knife and peeling of a good layer of skin in order to heal up into a scar. Some do it around the back neck and some do huge scarrings on the back spine. The extra flesh skins are thrown in the trash.
