man i'm pissed they moved the Star Trek Movie back, that AND Harry Potter. those were the two i was waiting for. i LOVE going to the fall/winter movies, but none of them are appealing to me this year. blarf.

i was just reading a fall preview, and quite a few seemed like they would be worth checking out

i've been seeing lots of previews for that "burn after reading" movie, and i do want to check that out

I was going to see the Harry Potter movie with the Miss but that was pretty much it. I'm not too much of a movie person anyway.

I had every intent of catching it this past weekend...but I must say Bradd Pitt looks annoying as hell in the previews...but that may be the whole point...

Although it's released on X-mas day...I'm gonna throw in "The Spirit" by Frank Miller...his first solo venture as a director...looks visually duplicate to "Sin City" in style,Wil Wisner cowritten...oh yeah!...(Dec 25)

An American Carol, funny film that much like a parody of Michael Moore's films. Good for some laugh I'm assuming.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1190617/

Zack and Miri Make a Porno, pretty much what the title says. National Lampoon done this before.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1007028/

Punisher: War Zone, another sequel.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0450314/

The Day the Earth Stood Still,a remake of a classic 1951 sci-fi film.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0970416/

The Spirit , is an adaptation of Will Eisner's Spirit and the visual shares somewhat of Sin City but with out b/w. Note: This movie will not have an origin so I suggest people read the series at wikipedia or somewhere with background story to better understand the plot that will be in the movie.

Let's hope it's redemption time for Kevin Smith...he's doing his stand up thing here at the end of the month...

i saw "righteous kill" last night at a screening. it was pretty decent, but lacked some things. the typical merits come with having deniro/pacino star, with some pretty decent players doing backup roles (50 cent people, come on!). but i thought the movie as a whole was a little thin, and the ending left something to be desired.

for a-z's sake, i'd say 6.5/10

^I'm excited to catch both those as well...have you been here?... (http://www.skeetchestn.ca/WildHorseTown.html)

This is kind of a cool idea but they’re missing “Open Range”,” Heaven and Earth”,”Dances With Wolves” and bunch others…and of course "Shanghai Noon" the town of Black Diamond will never quite be the same after having Jackie Chan line up for the sunday buffet at the local chinese/western joint...they named a ginger fried tofu dish after him... Miracle at St.Anna & Flash of Genius were really great films that aren't doing very well...but I heard Bevery Hills Chihuahua is doing great.

i really enjoyed miracle at st anna. i think the nearly 3 hour runtime probably scares people away though. but it was worth every minute

I didn't know it was 3 hours long ....interesting.

I think it has more to do with Spike Lee's name attached to it.

Nope, they said that they'd rather cancel it than share profits.

It's probably going to come out, but I don't expect it to come out anytime soon.

Shit,I can't believe I forgot this, filmed here and premiered here last night...apparently the opening scene rivals the first 15 mins of "Saving Private Ryan" for raw power...

No...its about a star college football player who is diagnosed with leukaemia at the top of his game ...he's the first black athlete to receive an Heisman (sp?) Award ...very sad.
