Payne looks better than any other video game movie based off the trailer alone. It'll probably get mixed reviews but be good for what it is.

Still, despite differencing from the first title, it still seems to be biggest chance that video game movies have on becoming greatness.

This is going to be terrible. Wrong director, wrong cast. I mean, Ludacris is playing Jim Bravura for fuck's sake. I'm 99% sure this will be another wasted opportunity for a truly great film (eg Hitman, Doom). Thanks a bunch Hollywood.

the "killer angels" will have no proper impact in the movie, if they follow it by the game. if anything, the valkyries will just appear when people are tripping on V.

The trailer made it look fine, but my god, the reviews were harsh. I guess Prince of Persia will have it's chance to redeem videogame movies next but I won't hold my breath.

Yeah Doom really sucked. I was hyped in seeing it all with the same taste as Doom 3 but it was just not as dark and silent as the game. Kojima said he will be part of a Metal Gear Solid movie and David Hayter might be in only to write the screen play.

However, nothing beats the idea of having a Tetris movie.

i saw it tonight. i suppose it's alright if you're a fan of the game. lots of little tributes here and there. they didn't totally follow the storyline of the games; some things were altered to fit the script of a movie which is fair enough but most of the feelings from the game were there. if you never played the game, you might be confused by some of it... i went with two mates who never played the game and they were asking questions at the end of it.

6.5/7 out of 10 which is what imdb is giving it at the moment i think?
