I am a believer in knowing what you're doing when you apply for a job. And I think that if I were to seriously consider running on a national ticket, I would essentially have to start now, before having served a day in the Senate. Now there's some people who might be comfortable doing that, but I'm not one of those people.

way to remember to include the hussein, but forget to spell it or his first name correctly.
admittedly, that's catching him in something, but let me find some youtube videos of things you said 4 years ago and we'll see if they match up exactly to what you're doing now.

Yeah, I also said when I was done with my Bachelor's degree that I wasn't even going to try for my Master's because I didn't think I had the grades or the abilities to do well in such a program. Look at me, I proved myself wrong. If that was him changing a serious political stance (depending on the context), I'd have reason to be concerned. Just him changing from the position of "I don't think I'm experienced enough," to "I feel confident in my abilities to run for president," years down the road isn't a flip-flop.

Yes, because it's very uncommon to include a person's full name when quoting them.

What's McCain's middle name? Funny, people don't put his middle name anywhere when quoting him.

It is nice to see he's honest and humble and quite aware of his capabilities at the time
He has gained experience and confidence and is running now

What was it, 143 days worth of experience in the Senate? And he introduced no new legislation of his own.
YES, he's now much more qualified.

John "Sidney" McCain
Gender: Masculine & Feminine
Usage: English
Pronounced: SID-nee [key]
Either from a French place name which was a contraction of "Saint DENIS", or from an Old English surname which meant "wide island". A famous bearer of the surname was Sir Philip Sidney, an English poet and statesman of the 16th century.
Guess this means he could go either way. Be a real switch hitter.

No, 143 days of doing nothing but riding other people's coattails/legislation.

A good portion of the message is how politics is fucked up. And how change has to come from the people. Fast-forward to today and we're in the middle of attack ads and counter attack ads.
Unfortunately, fear works better than hope.
