Sarah Palin called Rick Warren yesterday to ask for Bible verses to deal with the personal attacks on her. Rick was on a radio show and the audio link is in the story.

She really is a holy roller. This is something Bush would do.

I need to know something on a Christian issue, are pitbulls a more sacred animal than say pigs? Is lipstick on a pig insulting but lipstick on a pitbull not? WTF is this whiny crap from the so-called tough group that's going to stand up to terrorists.

Are not all of Gods animals created equally?

a. Genesis 1:22: the “blessing” for creation is that it should be fruitful and multiply.

i. Verbs for blessing are akin to those for: create, be fruitful, multiply

ii. Blessing is not just for human beings, but for ALL of creation including animals.

iii. Genesis 1:24-25: God saw that the creation of animals was good, and enabled them to reproduce according to their own kind

I'm just trying to understand all of this barracuda, pig, pitbull nonsense the republicans are talking about.

Why is it they do not address the homeless or walk a picket line with the striking Boeing workers?

There is a youtube video care of CBS of Matt Damon discussing Sarah Palin and one of the funniest things I've heard in a while was him saying "I would love to ask her if she thinks dinosaurs were around four thousand years ago."

Wouldn't any devout christian just open a bible for help?

I'm not a raging christian and I know a few books that would help

Psalm
Ecclesiastes
Song of Solomon
The gospels of Matthew Nark Luke and John

but of course Revelations is quite popular with this group

“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.

It baffles me to think how anyone would think the prospect of Palin as a VP is anything but scary.

Yeah, lets vote the republicans in, I mean they've done nothing but good for their country and the world in the last 8 years. They rock :(

You ever notice that people who believe in creation look really unevolved?

Whoa whoa whoa, these aren't the same Republicans you've been use to the past 8 years (even though they were and are in elected offices currently). These are Mavericks! Republicans against the grain! Against D.C.'s buisness as usual! Bush has restored honor and integrity back into the White House by not being caught with his pants down. These two are going to knock heads and take names. If the bible is cool with that of course.

I approached my 'political awakening' if you will this year with the idea that the more I learn or read or hear the more I'd probably see how in step the Republican party is with teachings of Christianity. There are quite a few Bible thumpers in my family *shudder* but yeah I wanted to see the "right and good" side of our Political system...... unfortunately it all doesn't add up.

Help the poor. Heal the sick. etc... more in step with what's labeled 'liberal' ideas. These 'conservative' ideals seem more like 'hey you're on your own and get out there and compete and fight one another to make a great powerful nation!!!'

I'm so confused.

agree'd

The teachings of Christ are so radical (love they enemy, turn the other cheek, be humble, love all) I'm surprised these "bible thumpers" have yet to make the correlation. I think the only thing they are most concerned about is abortion and that's not even brought up in the bible

Well..."Thou Shalt Not Kill", but that hasn't stopped them from cheering on illegal wars that kill thousands upon thousands of innocent people

Almost every other sin has been demonstrated quite well from their religious leaders to their congressmen to their children

What are the true values and morals they infuse their party with?

Granted many good christians are exploited by the party, it's unbelievable they can't see through the smoke.
