I'm happy to sponsor asylum claims over to the UK for you non-god-fearing-gun-toting-racist voters across the pond.

I work for immigration and I'll be happy to lobby a special conditions clause that should allow USAers to come over because they fear thier government...

...its ok, because we all fear the american government.

I actually said this 4 years ago when you guys [Americans] decided to majority vote Bush should have another go but no1 took me up on the offer - I'm still serious!

I appreciate the offer, but I think I am going to go somewhere warm, like the Cayman Islands.

That's sweet. I'm offering refuge to all my American friends, if McCain is elected. They were so sick of Bush's rule that they don't think they can stand an extension of his policies for another 4 years.

It's a win-win situation! Either they have democracy under Obama, or they have democracy in Canada. ;)

Democracy isn't neccesarily a "win". Getting Obama in is only half the battle.

i have seriously thought of moving if we continue the warmongering. i'm sure my husband would be up for that too.

QA, it's too cold up there! maybe i'll hop the mexican border.

yes please, I'll take an asylum thanks. I hope I won't have to. actually, that's not true, I'd love to move away regardless.

I hope all the people that say they'll leave if (insert name here) is elected, actually leave this time. I'm sure they wont though. As usual, they're all back again saying they'll leave. Has Alec Baldwin said it again yet? Now there's a guy where I would pay his cab fare to get the fuck out.

he never said that nor made a promise. what he said was "it might be a good time to leave the country" (http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=4086547n) if bush won.

funnily enough, it was actually stephen baldwin (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/07/01/stephen-baldwin-on-fox-ne_n_110169.html) who said he would leave if obama is elected.

oh man, stephen baldwin is such a piece of shit. I'm kind of ashamed to admit that I watched him on the last celebrity season of the Apprentice and he came off as a bible-thumping hypocrite.

nofenders, it's hard to take you seriously when you put the cool guy smilie after everything you say.

also, alec baldwin is hilarious. if he moves away he can't be on 30 Rock, and that's not fair.

stephen baldwin can move away though, like today. please. he is so gross.

Yeah, but the dollar up here is almost the same as USD, so it's easier to move up here and get a job that pays you what you're worth. PLUS, the minimum wage in Alberta is $8.40 an hour!

Canada should suck it up and start taking over land in the US. I mean, California and the entire west coast pretty much believes in the same stuff Canada does (gay marriage, health care for all, freedom, etc.), so they should just join Canada. That way, Canadians have the benefit of their awesome weather and Americans have the benefit of a freer society. Another win-win situation, yay.

Oh I am totally calling you on this. Canada isn't anywhere NEAR democracy. We operate in an archaic constitutional monarchy.:(

Yeah, it is a bit cold here. Not really extremes of weather tho except the occasional flooding.

Yes. The £ is strong to the $ and our taxes are nearly double yours. Plus petrol costs about £1.15 a litre to - which is about £4.36 a gallon which is about $8 a gallon or something? But you don't have to travel 200 miles to get to the next town. And you'll soon get used to roundabouts. And you'll realise how good german cars are to!

But free health care here and we have the olympics coming in 4 years and once you have ILR status (Indefinite Leave to Remain) then you can travel the whole of EU without too much trouble.

On the plus side for the british, you guys aren't as ugly as we are, and we could do with some much needed smartening up. Once we get round the accent - most of us can get along with americans. And, I'm not sure if its still true; but americans did used to dig our accents so there is a win-win there to assuming you can live with an ugly guy/girl?

We are nearly as fat as you to, but we are working hard on catching you up!

To get along fine with the natives - just say you are Canadian - not many can tell the difference in accents round here.

Tempted yet?

^ that was a funny post!

also, i know several brits that are handsome, so you're not all ugly... just like we're not all fat.

I'd say it's pretty clear he said it, but then back tracked fairly soon once he realised what idiot he sounded like. They even had his wife quoted as saying she'd "have to go with him". I'd say he said it. And if Obama gets in, I hope the other Baldwin gets outta here as well. Who the fuck cares?? Go live where ya want. I really could care less. Just one more car off my streets.

Seriousness is over rated. If ya can't have fun on a message board or add something different. Then what's the use?
