so, before I'd even met my new coworker, my manager has been all, "you and [new coworker] are gonna get married" and keeps joking about it how he is the boy version of me, and I'm all "hush". and now because we get along so well (after only working together 3 times), I'm like "hmm, I wonder" and then I'm like, "no! that's stupid" but then today at work we joking around and talking like regular and somehow now I'm going to give him a haircut and he offered to take me out for dinner as payment.

and I believe it's all on a friend level, but I am starting to feel more nervous about it than appropriate.

Seriously tho - if you did do what you obviously both want to do then it'd get all sorts of years long potential tension out of the way.

Then you'd work better together and if some1 else in the office hits on either of you and you end up going out, the other person is gonna get jealous as a really jealous thing which won't be good for working together.
