regardless, q-tip <3!

"vivrant thing" is still a favorite song of mine from my highschool years.

Vivrant Thing is untouchable. It makes me erect on contact.

Yo what's up with homeboy's wardrobe?

The song is OK, nothing groundbreaking.

Vivrant Thing is untouchable. It makes me erect on contact....can't we just forget the past for a moment and enjoy the moment? =/

Cool that he's back in the scene; been quite a while.

god damn cool your jets already. the general consensus in the thread was that the song was "alright, nothing special," so i went in with very low expectations and was personally blown away by it. why does this bother you? who gives a shit if i thought it was a great song?

i liked it - he hasnt done much solo that is truly amazing but there is always a certain quality to the man's tunes. amplified is a great album and i hope this one is just as good. Nice red jacket.

HA!

i searched for any info on the q-tip album here because i just downloaded the q/d'angelo track, love it, and was wondering if the rest of the album is worth buying (is it, people?)

i am a huge d'angelo fan but yeah, like roosta says i believe (ha!) he is getting fat and getting caught for drug offences in between recording. he hasn't released a new album since i was in school. christ.

This was the first thing that popped into my head when I heard "the move" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TBJdYSGqps was Ghostface's "be easy" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfuRjiZy47I.
The tempos are the same, both rap in that same hyper style, the horns, the whole "I'm from queens" "I'm from staten" kinda vibe going on. My ears be lying to me or do they really sound the same? Not taking away anything from either track - both are bangers - just throwing this out there...

it's not amazing. But it's solid. And definitely a step above other music of the day.
