HERE (http://www.yousendit.com/download/bVlCM25ITWNCSWZIRGc9PQ) is a new rmx of "Open Letter"
I don't know about you guys, but here in the Un-united Kingdom it is an illegal offence to open a letter not addressed to yourself.
When I saw the title of this track, I thought it was an ode to postmen everywhere. Imagine my dismay upon realising it was a tribute to a whole bloody city!!
It's a false economy......

Yeah I like that Melencholy place you went with that. Cool stuff. Was that bass made with outboard gear?

To be honest mate, this remix only took 5 tracks in Acid. 2 for the main loop, 2 for the drums and 1 for the vocals
The main loop is from the Babel soundtrack. The Drums are some I mapped out in Reason then exported to Acid and used the 2nd track to drop extra kicks etc.
The change in sound for the last verse is the same loops but using the Morphoder FX from the Waves Diamond bundle assigned to each track individually.
THanks for listening Senor Bio

Yeah I don't plan on Biting your style I just reeally like how the bass came out on the first verse. Would you mind telling me what the perameters for that reason track were like. I am trying to get more into the details...But to be honest with you most of the time I twiddle knobs until it sounds good to me and can't really remember what the settings were:)

....most of the time I twiddle knobs until it sounds good to me
Shhh....that's what I do.
I don't use reason to sequence whole tracks - I use individual bits of reason to map 16, 32 or 64 step loops. I the find a sound that I like and that fits the map and then play with all the buttons.
I then save the loop as a wav file and then make adjustments to the sound - saving each time I adjust so I have a stack of wavs of the same loop but each sounding slightly different. I then drop them in acid and see which sounds the best with whichever beat I use.
It's a long way round but it works for me.
In acid, I use EQ's on each track rather than a master EQ.

Ill- if you take the time to listen, then your opinion is golden.(y)
Chro-HaHA thats just about exactly what I do...thanks for the insight. I use FL to make loops though. Only because I got free:cool: Been trying to use just oneshots lately. It seems like you can have a little more flexibilty with the rythm. Takes a friggin year though!
