I'm getting closer and closer to quit again. Yeah, I'm typing this with a marlboro medim between my fingers but watching other people smoke, you realize what a nuisance they are.
I walked up to a roach coach on my lunch break with a cig hanging from my mouth and the people in line were pinching their noses so I threw it out. I felt guilty. That and my wife hates it after I smoke.
Little things like that add on, inching me closer to just giving up.
Cigars though....

At times I wish I could have a cigarette but realize how fruitless it is, I get over the craving quickly ( THank GOd! )
When I see teens smoking or parents with their kids I am disgusted, or while riding my bike and I see the cigarette butt bouncing down the street after being discarded from a vehicle.
I feel so bad for non-smokers and apologize for my worthless and destructive habit, smokers are inconsiderate pigs
i kind of quit smoking two weeks ago and im surprised that it wasn't much too it. i had some panic attacks and almost had a hard time breathing the first two days or so but then it it became a lot better. i'm most likely gonna pick it up again though after a while since i can't picture myself just not smoking at all. it still has its moments.

I was so bored at work today that I watched all the employees across the street during their smoke breaks.
Watching them inhale, they didn't have happy faces. While they were inhaling, they all had like an angry squint look.
I suppose that's how I look.

Nice work...I quit back in June but over the past few weeks I've been cheating a bit when I'm out drinking. But I don't think 2-4 a month is going to hurt me too much
Not to be miserable - walk around a cancer ward a few times, that'll make you quit.
I only used to smoke pot; but it was heavy, every day and I was addicted. While watching my dad die slowly, I haven't bought any since...
I've smoked the odd one at parties etc but this is like once every few months.
However, I do think the odd vice is good to have if you can control it (like I think its fine for me to get high on special occasions). I'm currently trying to control my drinking but that is another thread on another board with other low life alcoholics! Sorry I digress: But go guys - hope you can quit or at least control it so you can take it leave it (months apart I mean, without having the actual need). Try and do it before Christmas as well - less than 100 days to go y'know!
i'm going for my hundreth try tonight. its my wifes birthday so i figured what better gift to give her than me sticking around longer than she hoped for.

I remember the interview when Ashton Koosher talked about the book.
The book has been passed to four of my coworkers and they quit. I'm waiting for one to finish it and it'll be passed to me.

Thats not cool. Smoking is the epitome of cool. TV told me so.
grats paul jones on quitting both!
I wonder how much I spend on booze a year! I bet its about 20% of my income!
Being sober might become the next being vegetarian. Booze is murder!

i've been bad and smoked about 600 cigarettes at bestival cause i was just drinking all day for days and then i got back and didn't want to smoke at all so now i'm really pushing it and every coupla days having a beer and smoking too. i will never go back to full-time smoking but need to be careful i don't fall back into the habit of smoking every evening. it's so horrible
a friend of mine gave up with the allen carr thing-she started again- that's what happens when you get advice on quitting from goofy, camp brit comedians(yes i know)

I went to a bowling alley tonight and Smoking wasn't allowed
I read in the Bangkok Post that a heavy smoker was lynched for firing up in a bar too much in Uganda and this will be the last year that the tents for Oktorberfest will allow smoking.
Great time to be a smoker. And to as far as the quitting drinking goes I'll quote The Chairman of the Board Mr. Frank Sinatra ""I feel sorry for people that don't drink, because when they wake up in the morning, that is the best they are going to feel all day"
