Is she vacant because she is scared of deviating from the "talking points"...
or is she just VACANT?

Whatever one might think of McCain - how can you trust his judgement now?

I loved how she called Obama a flipflopper "waiting for political winds to change"

but it has been proven time and again that mccain has been flip floppin' about with the regulating/deregulating dance

palin voice is very nervous sounding, her inflections provide very little confidence

She is a bit green. Sounds like the freshman being interviewed after the game winning touchdown. I suspect she will improve over time but I don't think she is going to get the hang of it before the votes are counted. This VP debate is going to be PAINFUL!

"He still has a stake in the company, so isn't that a conflict of interest?"
-insert 5 second pause here and watch the wheels frantically turn-

While I do not agree with anything she says, I have to say for someone being thrown into a situation she knows nothing about she handles herself well. She is an excellent speaker...trouble is the content is just a pile of elephant shit.

"I'm not looking at poll numbers....I'm looking at track records."

"We are looking at the next Great Depression."

She reminds me of the cop I talked to a few years ago when a very aggressive stalker was trying to get into my apartment when I wasn't home and calling my work to "fact check" me...

Me: 'Please, officer - he has tried to get my DMV records - do SOMETHING.'

Cop: '... My gut tells me that this guy aint' gonna hurt you. Nope.'

Me... 'can do we do something ANYWAY?'

"I'm not looking a poll numbers" (yah, right.)
"I'm looking at track records" (YAH RIGHT!)

rednecks and ignorant republicans don't need facts or the advice and consultation of others. they go with their gut.

Might be a mouth breather. Someone's going to have to go in.

ugh, I just watched the video and saw the licking. why does she have to insult obama in a vague and general manner everytime she opens her mouth? I like how Katie Couric laid down the law though, and the look on her face like, "are you fucking kidding me right now?" was priceless.

it'd be foolhardy to put a candidate clearly ready to be commander-in-chief in a room with a prickly reporter from the Kansas City Star. (http://www.comedycentral.com/videos/index.jhtml?videoId=184928)

LMAO That was funny. Katie Couric laying down the law.

Ms. Couric asked her questions firmly but gently, careful not to seem flippant or condescending. But she ended on a “gotcha” moment. After Ms. Palin attacked Senator Barack Obama for saying he would meet with leaders of Syria and Iran without preconditions, Ms. Couric reminded the governor that she recently met with former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, who supports direct diplomacy with both countries. “Are you saying Henry Kissinger is naïve?” Ms. Couric asked. Ms. Palin replied, “I’ve never heard Henry Kissinger say, ‘Yeah, I’ll meet with these leaders without preconditions being met.’ ”

After the interview, Ms. Couric faced the camera and added a postscript. “Incidentally, we confirmed Henry Kissinger’s position following our interview,” she said, explaining that Mr. Kissinger supports talks “without preconditions.”

Not sure what it is you found humourous there, pally.

Pally? Wow! A Dean Martin fan??? I hope so!

She only laid down the "if you haven't heard him say that, we'll ask him for ya" law. So if that's a huge bitch slap from Katie, then some people sure get their kicks on very little these days.

Anyway, Katie is so obvioulsy on one side in her interviews, I never watch. I see why some do though. It's all good.
