McCain standing up Letterman

Yeah, I saw that. Letterman was like the scorned date being stood up at the prom. I mean, I don't understand why McCain wasn't honest with him. Instead of saying he needs to go to Washington to help solve the crisis, he walks three blocks to Katie Couric's studio? Shouldn't he have said: "I'm going to be interviewed by Katie Couric because being on a comedy show is poor timing with this economic crisis. I need to speak on a more serious show. I'll re-schedule when this thing blows over." THAT would have been the better way to do it.

And I felt sorry for Dave, too. :(
