like in ROCKY ,where they sing 'doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo take it back....doo doo doo doo'

or in The Color Of Money. It was on TV last night and I saw the bit where Paul Newman (R.I.P) stops by some men around a bin on fire in his car.

btw, what the fuck is Tom Cruise's hair doing in that movie?!?

Is it because the men are homeless or they are barred from bars?

Please explain!

no explanations for Tom Cruise's hairstyle in Color Of Money needed..

It's like a symbol of homelessness. Men standing around barrels of fire, or eating hotdogs in train cars. that sort of thing.

Its supposed to represent the burning flame in their soul enclosed by their tough exterior the trash can.

construction workers (and repo men) do it too.

i think cops tend to try and keep the homeless from starting fires too much around here.

It's Americana......... like Baseball, mom's apple pie, chitlins (or chitterlings/swine intestines) White socks, Blue Ribbon beer, Football, Deer hunting, playing bloody knuckles, shooting marbles, lawn darts, tether ball, bad minton, checkers, Bass fishing, go-karting, billiards, Skeet shooting, Mobile home parks, buying houses and cars you can't afford...........Ending up standing around a "bin" on fire.

Know what I'm sayin?

I've gotten drunk around a trashcan fire tons of times.
Hell, when I was a kid (15-18) I use to throw keg parties down by the river where the cops never bothered us. There'd be 100 kids hanging around drinking and we'd have 4 or 5 trashcan fires going.

BTW, I know the exact corner those guys in Rocky were on.(y)

You'd have thought Mr Balboa would have invited them in for some raw eggs and watch his terrapins
