4 years after disbanding, Phish to reunite
Oct. 1, 2008, 9:01 AM EST
MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) -- Phish is getting back together.

The Vermont-bred jam band, which disbanded in 2004, is planning three dates next March in Hampton, Virginia. A notice posted on the band's Web site says Phish will play March 6, March 7 and March 8, 2009, at the Hampton Coliseum. The Web site says more 2009 dates will be announced later.

A spokesman for the Coliseum, who wouldn't give his name, confirmed the booking.

Phish was among the nation's top touring acts when it called it quits in 2004. The band received a lifetime achievement award at the Jammy Awards last May.

phish gets a lot of hate on this board for some reason.

there ok.

better if your into/on drugs.

"junta" or "a live one" would be the place to start.

actually there was a time I enjoyed Phish...I wasn't a hippie or a frat boy discovering weed either, but I have grown out of them and would rather listen to Christian Death Metal or some Folk-Rap

albums I enjoyed

Lawnboy
Rift
Junta

I'm not a massive fan, but I lived with 4 Phish fanatics through college. They eventually grew on me. Now, I think I'd rather listen to them than the music I was into then (Candiria, Converge, Coalesce, etc.)

as far as i know they're just a jam band. i do own some grateful dead and allman brothers albums so i have heard a few 30+ minute jams. i heard that Phish has played the entire dark side of the moon album at a few of their shows before and also the beatles white album. i thought that was pretty cool.

I know it's been years and apparently he got off, but whenever I see the band's name I think of the guy in the band who apparently did something inappropriate with a young girl.
