I just had to say goodbye to my Gecko

She'd been pretty ill over the last few weeks and we've tried everything to get her back on her feet but nothing had been working. The vet bills alone had so far totalled £150 but I that doesn't bother me.

Well I took the day off (to the mirth of my knobhead colleagues) to go to the vet again but she decided that she had deteriated too much and it would be best to put her down. It's such a shame because the other one is fine and we couldn't pin point as to why she was so ill.

I'm not looking forward to going into the studio tomorrow to face another load of idiotic pet jokes by my narrow minded workmates. Just because it isn't a cat or a dog doesn't mean that it's a simple case of just flushing it down the toilet and going out to buy another :mad:

Sorry to hear, but you can't let your pets suffer

My girlfriend's family just put down their dog. He was so jacked up on steroids and his quality of life was next to not much, they seem to be ok with it but they have had millions of pets throughout the years so I think they are used to it.

It sucks when a pet has to die, but it's a part of life. I plan on having pets so my kid can learn about life, respect for animals, and death. They are a great companion when they are here and a greater lesson on life and how fragile we all are.

One time when we had to put a cat down, my parents brought her camping so we could say goodbye and I was spending some time alone with her talking with her and crying and she kept rubbing my face with hers as if to let me she was going to be ok. Man I'm getting teared up thinking about it.

I have/had four pugs...I lost my oldest male in July, he was 11 years old. I got so upset ...I couldn't stop crying ...through my whole system into an anxiety/panic attack and an ambulance came and whipped me away, never had one before but that is the power of emotion I guess. I cried for two weeks straight. I think it was hard becase I have three replicas of him starring at me everyday. It not like I could put him in out of sight, out of mind so I could mourn.

I know he is with us thoug through spirit...fuck, I am going to cry now =(
