Yeah, it'll go from "commuting" the sentence to a full pardon.
There have been some pretty disgusting pardons by presidents since the pardoning of Nixon.

For some reason, I thought Scooter was already pardoned.
Other than that, no one really big comes to mind.

He commuted his sentence, which is just short of a pardon. That means he had to pay a fine (of $100,000+), avoid jail time, but the charge would still stay on his criminal record.
