Alright, so we know that mccain will milk his POW status and military service for all that it is worth and with that he has stated he has unconditionally supported and is supported by Veterans. Now I don't mind and respect the fact that he has served his nation, but that is where my support as a veteran ends for him.

As he spews bullshit about his warm relationship with Veteran affairs it has been brought to light that his voting record is in stark contrast of his purported support for Veterans. He'll vote yea everytime to get money for an endless war. but is endlessly voting against legislation that supports the men and women who have served their nation.

Many veterans are speaking out against mccain and I haven't seen many younger veterans at his rally stops and I hope the news that he has actually voted AGAINST veterans will hit the young men and women serving today who's votes will effect their lives in the future.

I respect the fact that Veterans do support mccain, but more importantly many should know the reasons why many Veterans do not support mccain.

This just in. Obama scores higher than mccain on veteran "report card"

http://thehill.com/campaign-2008/obama-outscores-mccain-in--veterans-groups-report-card-2008-10-06.html

http://www.veteranreportcard.org/reportcard.pdf

The Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA’s) Action Fund gave the Arizona senator a “D” as part of its congressional report card. Obama received a “B” from the group.

McCain is among three senators who scored a “D.” Only one senator, Jim DeMint (R-S.C.), received an “F.”

McCain — a former Navy officer and prisoner of war — and Obama, who has not served, have made military and veterans’ issues central to their campaign as they try to show voters who would be a stronger advocate for those who have fought in two wars in the last seven years.

Much of IAVA’s scoring revolves around legislation to boost education benefits for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, known as the “Post 9/11 GI Bill: Fair Education Benefits for Veterans.” The bill was the brainchild of Sen. Jim Webb (D-Va.) and garnered wide sponsorship throughout the upper chamber.

mccain may think Veterans are idiots but the only idiot who is a Veteran is him (n)

He's a US Senator, what have you achieved in your life that makes you such a genius?

If you don't like him, that's fine. But calling him an idiot is, well,....idiotic.

why does mccain lie....veterans know it

does he?

http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-96933

n the first debate John McCain said "I know the veterans, I know them
well, and I know that they know that I'll take care of them, and I have
been proud of their support and their recognition of my service to the
veterans, and I love them, and I'll take care of them, and they know
that I'll take care of them."

Truth be told, this is not the case. McCain has a lackluster
voting record when it comes to veterans' issues, and America's veterans
know it. The Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America have given
McCain a grade of "D" when it comes to voting in their interest. The
Disabled American Veterans have given McCain a 20 percent rating when
it comes to voting in the interest of disabled veterans.

you know what? I don't think this is the real john mccain. after the election (win or lose), some pesky kids are gonna run up and pull off his head and it's gonna be a mask, and there's gonna be either karl rove or a bunch of wires and robot parts underneath. or both. ROBOROVE.
