youtube should impliment a preview function

where you put your cursor over the thumbnail and theres a little preview of the video. that would be awesome. come on youtube. seriously. get with the program.

sometimes i hold my cursor over the video cause i forget, and then im like... oh. and then im very disappointed in them.

I just don't want to waste time watching videos that are totally boring. I need to see the highlights! I have a short attention span.

The impression I get is that these preview features, whoever uploads the video gets to pick which screen caps to use for the preview, so things like the rick roll could still live on (although at this point, who would really want it to?)

I am no expert but i am guessing that you tube has a helluva lot more clips than any porn site and if they had thumbnails that would slow the whole site down massively. I have been on sites where they have thumbnails of clips and they are the last things to appear and when its going slow they get stuck. Not that i go on these sites a lot of course.
