Hi all. I'm busy with an experiement atm. I'm attempting to re-master various songs on Pauls Boutique and I've decided to star with Car Thief.
When I say re-master, I mean I am liturally hunting the samples that the song used, editing them, and mixing them all together exactly as they appear on PB. The reason for doing so is to experiment (for fun) and to see whether it would be possible to do a fan re-master of PB. Everyone knows the actual album is mastered rather poorly and lots of people want a re-release. Sadly, thanks to copyright laws among other thing, it doesn't seem possible.
It's early days yet, but I've almost finished Car Thief. One vital thing I need though is the original beat. The version I'm using came from the instrumental and its a bit crap. Is there anyone out there that could re-create this beat and post it for me to use? I'm planning on releasing the tracks I re-master (I'm sorta hoping this can be a group project) after polling users to find out what kind of sound issues they have with PB and which elements they'd like changed in a re-mastered version.
So, in summary, anyone able to re-create the Car Thief beat for me?
