This could be good. (http://www.e4.com/deadset/flash.html)
Charlie Brooker's (Brass Eye, Nathan Barley, other random assorted shit) new series is about Big Brother 'gone wrong'.
Looks like the first thing on TV in the last few years actually worth staying in to watch (y)

*gasp* Big Brother. Zombies. Brilliant (y)
Oooh. Too bad Big Brother isn't really too popular in the States.
Still on my Zombie To-Do List: Read "World War Z: An Oral Account of The Zombie War."

I didn't even see the site but I'm already positive I'll love it.
Charlie Brooker is one of my favourite bloggers/article writers ever!
I have such a boner for his work I'm sure I'll find it great - even if its shit - which it won't be...
Never heard of it, but I'm now rather intrigued.
Audio.

Isn't Charlie Brooker wondeful?
I remember he used to write a section in PC Zone when I was a little lad. Well, 16 or 17. Ahhh; Cruelty Zoo. He's the reason I got into being cynical.

I've only just discovered 'Screenwipe' and I absolutely love it. It's just THE show for the grumpy, moany and cynical. <3
Shame I haven't got C4, so I hope it'll be uploaded somewhere.
Zombies, yay!

i'm looking forward to this, Brooker is a legend.
Brooker's Screen Burn is excellent. His articles are the only good thing in The Guardian these days, though they tend to get lost in between "How to be a Eco-Socialist" and "Are Blogs the new Suede?".

i prefer ardent solo
I forgot to sky+ this so I had to download it.
I'm no zombie aficionado, but isnt running zombies a bit of a no-no?
I thought it was quite good but there wasn't any real scary moments for me, just gore. I'll defiantly watch the whole thing though. I do love the take on our "reality tv" though
I liked it and I welcome running Zombies. They make that 'desperate last ditch run to safety' more terrifying.

Rubbish!
Ah well, I missed it anyway because my cable was playing up. Not terribly fussed now that I know it has running zombies in though.

pft.. running zombies are the way forward. once you've seen running zombies you can't go back. i think.
it was okay. i thought it was going to be more of a satire but nay. i enjoyed seeing all the former big brother people scream and get brutally slayed.

sort your mooey out. whats the problem if they run, it makes for more interesting telly. if they just still mooched along slowly it'd be a piece of piss to get away and less exciting to watch. imo the only reason the older zombie movies had slow moving was that it was easier to film on the cheap.

i thought there were bits that took the piss on the quiet, i reckon there will be a lot more digs at BB and its audience as the week progresses
oh, and i like the way the BB house is made up of bits of a few of the old series' houses

or because its a bit more logical and proves for much much more suspense. Since everyone went ADD and such we have running zombies. Which are just crazy murderers who eat people and don't think much. I can take running zombies, i dont like them at all, but its fine. people don't do well at pulling off the original style anymore, so if they want to do it the easy way, all the power to them, in the meanwhile, i'll wait for World War Z
Well the Zombies of old were usually made by 'black magic' but the most recent films/books/comics it's usually put it down to chemicals/radiation and so I'd like to think that they have created 'super zombies' (y)

exactly, it doesnt matter one iota how they move, i think the key fact is that they are trying to eat people

I dunno. If your body was decomposing at an alarming rate, I doubt that you're move very fast.
Plus, I just think that if something's trying to kill you, it's much more frightening if it moves slowly. If you're rushed at, there's no suspense, just primal reaction. If something is moving at you slowly, relentlessly, and in great numbers, it garners a much stronger reaction. Horrible fear of impending doom instead of a gut reaction to stay alive.
But I prefer the feral feeling a faster zombie brings.
The old stumbling zombies are as a scary as you trying to escape a kiss from your old hairy lipped aunt at christmas.
Simon Pegg (Shaun of the dead) discusses the running zombies (http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2008/nov/04/television-simon-pegg-dead-set) in Dead Set

yeah but he still liked it. Thats the point, it doesnt fucking matter how they move it was still good. And as far for slow zombies increasing the tension maybe, but having running zombies still brought new obstacles.
