these are a little fuzzy, but more true to color.

kaiser, it's in iowa, about 3.5 hours away. it was so much fun, I wish we had brought headlamps and kneepads so we could really explore. it's funny because the pictures don't really show how hard it was to climb and get around, but it was gloriously exhausting.

edit: beyond those awesome gnarly trees was like a 300 foot drop. scary!

Yeah, it's where the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers merge. You have to hike up this trail to get to where I took the picture (yes, above where the train comes out the mountain). Where I'm standing is MD, across at Harper's Ferry is WV and the land to the left in the pic is VA. It was the first time my wife and I had been there and we found a nice little house for rent on the hill above Harper's Ferry. A lot of history there.
