So after palin paid a visit to the Flyers for their opening game they suffered a horrible winless streak until last night when they won their first against the Blues who unfortunately thought it would be a blessing to have palin drop the puck for the game. Also the Blues goalie Manny Legace was injured when he stepped on the ceremonial rug laid out for palin.

She is not a hockey mom....she is hell!

ST. LOUIS (AP) _ Blues goalie Manny Legace left after one period Friday night with a hip injury that occurred when he slipped on the carpet placed on the ice for Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

The Alaska governor dropped the ceremonial first puck before the Blues hosted the Los Angeles Kings. A narrow carpet walkway was placed from the gate at the Blues bench to center ice for Palin, her husband and two of her daughters.

Just before the ceremony, Legace was the first player onto the ice for St. Louis. A team official pointed to the carpet. But Legace said the official moved his own foot from the carpet just as Legace stepped down, causing the carpet to slide.

Although, now that the old guy is 6ft under, his son has agreed to show the games on air.

I still enjoy going to a game, it just has been horrible with no tv coverage of Chicago in what seems to be 10 years.

They have fallen off my radar, as has most hockey in general.

I miss it. But maybe now it'll feel more like the old days.

Being a diehard Buffalo fan, we just never quit

I remember as a kid going to a ton of games when both teams sucked, our fans are tried and true. We bitch when we are down and we are fucking nuts when we are up.

I'm loving the fact that Buffalo is on the map in hockey and football this season....I wish I was living there right now to enjoy a game or two or hit a bar with some friends for a game.
