Santa Muerte

I just got back from Mexico, and get this - in Mexico the grim reaper is like a pseudo catholic saint. They have prayer cards for him/her and everything!

I was looking at some of the necklaces and I asked a couple people about it, and after some reading I discovered that it's a weird and esoteric thing, mostly criminals praying to 'Santa Muerte' or "holy death" for things.
