Don't gloat, man. It's ugly. :p

Maybe next time they come to town they'll pick some place bigger than a 1500 person venue, and we can ALL get tickets.

Here's this from the Charlotte Observer, if anyone IS getting to go:

Want to meet Beastie Boys, Sheryl Crow?
Posted: Monday, Oct. 27, 2008

The Beastie Boys and Sheryl Crow will be making personal appearances in Charlotte today tied to Rock the Vote's mobile road show “Road Trip,” and the artists' sold-out show at Amos' Southend tonight.

Look for their tour bus from 1 to 3 p.m. today at Central Piedmont Community College (1201 Elizabeth Ave.), then from 6 to 8 tonight outside Amos' (1423 S. Tryon St.), where there'll be a “Pledge to Vote Rally” before the concert.

Set list was good. Basically all the classics. The venue was small which is a plus for a chance to get up close. I was about 3 people from the very front so i got a good view. It was a great informal show. imagine all these guys playing a few songs, and then saying things like ' everybody vote?' or ' its time to change our future' etc.

Show started by Mike D coming out and introducing Santo Gold. Never heard of her before but she really rocked the place. Not sure how to classify her stuff. It's kind of like Electronic Reggae Hip-Hop. That description may not do it justice. I'm not sure if the energy and fun of her show can be felt on her studio album, but i think i'm going to check and find out. Very impressed and pleasantly surprised. She played for about 35/45 mins i think.

Up next all the bboys came out and introduced Cheryl Crow. Not really a fan, so i really didn't 'feel' the set. She is talented though. Very good show. She played for about an hour.

THen finally Cheryl and Santo both introduced the bboys. MMM opened up the show w/ some killer sampling and other cool dj stuff that i'm not gonna try to describe. Then the beastie boys played the set list as mentioned above. It was very fun and energetic. So glad they came and played such a crummy little venue. AWESOME!!

One thing i thought was funny, toward the end of the show Adrock told us that they have two more songs. Don't think about the whole - we leave, you yell for us and we say "ahhh" and come back. We got two more and thats it. We're out of here. I thought that was hilarious.

All in all. Great show. Great set. Good show for the price. Def glad i caught em here.

MMM's intro was incredible. I thought it was so much better than the intro from the pageant tour, from AIFST. I can't believe they played such a dive. it was a once in a lifetime experience. UN BA LEEVABLE !

Did they have any new merch for sale? If not new, was there any at all?

Merch? i didn't see anything. Only stuff i saw around were Rock the Vote t-shirts. I wasn't there to rock the vote though.
